Day 18 (new venture)

Sooo excited! I'm going to be working with my uncle D on a fun little project that will be launching online shortly. Not ready to divulge all details, but I hope this new venture will be as rewarding financially as it is creatively. Fingers are crossed! ;)

Days 16-17 (thanks mom!)

My precious mom ... After launching this blog on Wednsday night she e-mailed me with a cash-backed challenge: find, sign and mail two copies of my Working Mother article: one to her and one to my grandpa. Touched by the gesture, I immediately agreed. But, it's always accomplishing the seemingly simplest tasks that prove the most difficult.

Even before my mom requested a copy of the mag, I’d been scouring the area (for going on 11 days now) trying to track down my own copy for my portfolio. It’s like the magazine has vanished into thin air. I. Can’t. Find. It. Anywhere. Grr.

Thankfully the editors are now sending me a few copies (yay!) … so Mom, get that check ready, lol!
